Notes & Reviews:

The third installment of Yevgeny Sudbin's complete Beethoven BIS piano concerto cycle. A prime coupling of two works both written in the richly evocative and dramatic key of C-minor. Mr. Sudbin's 'mother-of-pearl sheen pianism is backed by a special underlying sensitivity...Delectably light-fingered brilliance and virtuosity...' - Gramophone The much-lauded for his Beethoven BIS symphony cycle conductor Osmo Vanska leads the Minnesota Orchestra. Gramophone Magazine, May 2014
The marriage of strength in exposition and sensitivity in accompaniment is more or less beyond compare.

The Times, 7th February 2014
Both works give the Russian marvel Sudbin ample chances to show himself as a pianist of fresh imagination, strength and elegance. In the Mozart he supplies his own cadenzas, slightly too grandiose for their surroundings, though it's fun to hear the notes fly.
