Notes & Reviews:

For the past three years, SOMM and the wonderful Leon McCawley have been happily exploring the music of composers whose works have made the piano repertoire unique and immortal. They began with the piano music of Chopin (SMM 103), went on to Brahms (SMM 116), and now continue with Schumann. The wealth of solo piano music he composed in the mid-to-late 1830s marked him as a great composer. With the substantial pieces on this disc, Schumann practically redefined the possibilities of the genre.

International Record Review
You must hear this recording but be warned: you may never want to hear another pianist play Brahms' Klavierstucke, Op. 118. They don't come much better than that!
