Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, November/December 2014
This young cellist was a prizewinner in the Leipzig Bach competition. She balances between early and modern styles, using occasional vibrato but staying cool in her interpretations. These are tasteful interpretations that present these three suites in an enjoyable way. The competition is fierce.

The suites for unaccompanied cello by Johann Sebastian Bach are recorded by one of the publisher's youngest artists, Ditta Rohmann. The artist has played the cello since the age of 7. Of her numerous successes she is most proud of the prizes won at the Bach competition in Lieipzig, Germany. She has performed in concert with renowned orchestras, played at the Zurich Opera House for two years, performed as a solo artist with famous orchestras, and worked with prominent composers. Her most important teachers were Miklós Perényi, Ivan Monighetti, Péter Nagy and Ferenc Rados.
