Notes & Reviews:

This disc focuses on the art of transcription and paraphrase. Giuseppe Martucci's (1856-1909) Concert Fantasy on 'La Forza del Destino' here receives its first commercial recording. Scotish pianist Andrew Wright has particular interest and passion in semi-forgotten composers of the Romantic era and has made a detailed study of 19th century piano transcriptions. Mr. Wright wrote two of the fantasies heard here. Andrew has performed regularly in public in Scotland and the north of England.
