Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, July/August 2014
Mozart's serenades, all written in the bright key of D, were performed at the archbishop of Salzburg's summer residence and at the city's university. These works included prominent parts for solo violin, which Mozart would have played himself; and Janiczek plays the violin part in the Serenade No. 3 with a melting tone and unfailing sensitivity. Completing this program are performances of the Rondo Concertante in B-flat and Adagio in E. These works were written as substitute movements for Violin Concertos 1 and 5, and they are performed with transparency and sincere emotion.
