Notes & Reviews:

Many vinyl records are invaluable documents of their time. No series shows this as clearly as the Cologne recordings in the enthusiastically received Electrola Collection, now newly-named the Cologne Collection. Franz Schubert's gorgeous incidental music is heard here in Robert Heger's complete 1966 recording. As one of the leading Lieder singers of her day, Anneliese Rothenberger was predestined to perform the vocal part in the Romanze.
