Notes & Reviews:
Die stumme Serenade, Opera conducted by the composer himself! Korngold is not only the unique Hollywood Blockbuster Film music composer we all know, he left us with excellent operas as well. Here you get his last opera composed and authentically conducted by him.
American Record Guide, November/December 2014
It's a merry outing with plenty of jolly tunes and Viennese waltzes. Even the dialog has a charming appeal. Recorded sound is very up close, particularly the spoken dialog. The performance is quite good.
