This release in Praga's Reminiscences series, which features audiophile SACD remasters of historic recordings, focuses on the music of American composer Aaron Copland. Four major works are included, ranging from the 1926 Piano Concerto to the composer's Old American Songs, composed in 1952. Baritone William Warfield is the featured soloist in the songs (with composer conducting), while the Copland himself plays the lead in the concerto. Also included are the popular and much loved El Salón Mexico and Appalachian Spring.
