Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, July/August 2014
The Weiss duo recorded the Franck Sonata in 1969 and the Beethoven in 1971. There is a lot to admire here, particularly the speed and clarity of the fast passages. I find the theme of II of the Beethoven on the fast side. This recording is a valuable statement of time and place (it was recorded in Kimball Hall in Chicago, which has been replaced by the DePaul University School of Law, and engineered by Norman Pellegrini) as well as an example of impressive playing.
