Notes & Reviews:
As of 2013, following a lapse of some ten years, the famed Erato imprint has been reborn. During its original first three decades, Erato maintained a particular focus on French artists and French music, with a particular focus on the Baroque repertoire. That focus led to close associations with certain artists, among them conductor Jean-François Paillard. This recording of Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D was a consistent bestseller for Erato.
