Notes & Reviews:

Sergei Prokofiev, composer of Peter and the Wolf, the ballet music Romeo and Juliet, and the music for the film Alexander Nevski by Serguei Eisenstein was also a great pianist: he dedicated five of his orchestral concertos to this instrument. The Franco-Lebanese pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha recorded them during one of his concerts in 2004, with the Japanese conductor Kazushi Ono and La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra.
