Trumpeter Maurice Andre (1933-2012) was recognized by his peers as "the trumpet player of the century". He sold millions of recordings for Erato and EMI Classics, was a regular on TV, and was known far beyond the classical music audience. A poll taken in the US in 2006 elected him the world's best trumpet player, ahead of both Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis! This 3CD set collects his finest recordings in his Erato and EMI Classics discography.
