Notes & Reviews:
As of 2013, following a lapse of some ten years, the famed Erato imprint has been reborn. - William Christie (b. 1944), founded the Les Arts Florissants in 1979, becoming known for his interpretations of music of the French Baroque, initially his sole area of concentration. In later years, the repertoire offered widened considerably, to include, among much other music, the works heard here, which are in no need of introduction.
