Notes & Reviews:
As of 2013, following a lapse of some ten years, the famed Erato imprint has been reborn. - First release on CD! - Conductor Charles Dutoit and cellist Frédéric Lodéon have long associations with French classical music, as is evidenced by this new recording which features André Caplet's rarely-heard Épiphanie. - André Caplet (1878-1925), overshadowed by his far more famous French contemporaries Debussy and Ravel, is much deserving of increased focus and recognition as a near first-rank composer.
