Notes & Reviews:

Clavier-Übung III is considered Bach's most important and most complete organ work, containing some of his most musically complex and technically demanding pieces. Léon Berben gives us his interpretation, a new and fresh view of this milestone in organ music, using the exceptional sound colors of an organ contemporary with Bach and largely preserved in its original state: the Christoph Treutmann organ in Grauhof (Germany).

American Record Guide, January/February 2015
Leon Berben is noted as a scholar and performer with expertise in historic performance practice at both the organ and harpsichord. His teachers included Gustav Leonhardt, Ton Koopman, and Tini Mathot. From 2000 he was harpsichordist with Reinhard Goebel's Musica Antiqua of Cologne. His performances here are in that severely "authentic" style.
