Notes & Reviews:

Scholarly research has revealed that the E flat Concerto, which was previously thought to be a sixth violin concerto, was probably intended to be for the clarinet. The Concerto, the Variations on a Theme of "Les Mariages Samnites," and the Variations in F all receive their world premiere recordings on this CD.
