American Record Guide, November/December 2014
This Florence performance was given in 1963. She had a good high Eflat in those days. Kraus is his usual elegant self, particularly impressive in the long-breathed phrases of his final arias. Bruscantini is a lightweight Enrico. he's good with the words, simpler and more natural than Scotto. Washington is an adequate Raimondo. The sound is listenable - you get used to it and manage to hear the important details.
