Notes & Reviews:

Canadian violinist Alexandre Da Costa was a prodigious talent on both the violin and piano from a young age, and obtained a Master's Degree and First Prize from the Conservatoire de Musique du Québec at the age of just 18. The many prizes he has won include a Juno Award in 2012, the Sylva Gelber Foundation Award from the Canada Council for the Arts, and the prestigious Virginia-Parker Prize, one of Canada's highest cultural distinctions. This album includes Saint-Saens's Violin Concerto No. 3, his thrilling Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso in A Minor, and what is perhaps his best-loved orchestral work, the "Organ" Symphony No. 3.
