Notes & Reviews:

Firma Melodiya presents a recording of instrumental concertos by Antonio Vivaldi. Concertos are performed by the prominent representatives of domestic music art Oleg Kagan (violin), Natalia Gutman (cello), Evgeny Nepalo (oboe) and Albert Gofman (flute), and conducted by Rudolf Barshai and Lev Markiz, who opened the style of chamber performance of baroque music for the Soviet audience. The Night concerto features an ensemble of soloists of the Moscow Philharmonic Society led by David Oistrakh.

American Record Guide, January/February 2015
The second release here seems to be a collection of Vivaldi concertos played by famous instrumentalists, as a glance at the lineup of soloists will show. This is a Russian release, about half of it recorded in 1968 and the other half in 1974. The sound quality is pretty good, considering. The playing is excellent. The following concertos are included: R 461 (oboe), 546 (violin & cello), 278 (violin), 424 (cello), 547 (violin & cello), and 439 (flute, The Night).
