Notes & Reviews:

Eighteen selected romances by Tchaikovsky are represented by musicians from the new generation of Russian performing school. The graduates of the Moscow Conservatory Natalia Petrozhitskaya and Dmitry Zuev are prize winners of international competitions and leading soloists of The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre who have actively toured across Russia and abroad.

Gramophone Magazine, December 2014
Hearing Petrozhitskaya in 'So soon forgotten' highlights her operatic gifts and explains why she has been credited as such a poignant Tatyana...there is real passion here, together with a relish of Russian vowels and consonants, but there is also...a capacity for subtle inflection and a softly floated line...Zuev's timbre attractively blends freshness with maturity.

American Record Guide, January/February 2015
This program, "an anthology" of sorts of Tchaikovsky's songs, is a beautiful addition to a song library. The performances are excellent, intimate, and beautifully sung. Petrozhitskaya's voice is bright with just the hint of an edge; and her phrasing, especially in 'Was I Not a Little Blade Of Grass In the Meadow?' impeccable. Zuev's performances in the 'Don Juan' selections are exceptional, dramatic, and full. Kadobnova's playing is supportive and wonderfully varied; the opening of 'If Only I Had Known' is delicate and gentle, and 'Why?' is full and almost orchestral in scope, but still perfectly clear. The one duet, 'Tears', is lovely. The colors created by Petrozhitskaya and Zuev as they sing together are wonderful, and Kadobnova's playing is warm.
