Each year hänssler CLASSIC is pleased to present our beloved Musical Advent Calendar! 24 pieces of music, performed by some of the best amateur and professional ensembles in Southwest Germany provide a sparkling accompaniment for your Christmas countdown! This year offers something for everyone's taste and mood, from Michael Praetorius' ever-popular Christmas motets to Charles Ives' rugged ‚Psalm 100' for mixed choir and bells, together with festive works for the season by JS Bach and John Rutter. From the grandeur of a full orchestra to the angelic beauty of a children's choir, the tonal range is varied and edifying.
