Notes & Reviews:

Born in Tel-Aviv in 1985 to a family of musicians, violinist Itamar Zorman's impressive path of study led to his 2011 victory at the Int'l Tchaikovsky Competition, with more competition successes coming before and after that triumph. Professional worldwide engagements, and now a debut CD, have followed. "From the beginning, it was clear to me that the repertoire for my debut CD needed to reflect my beliefs as a musician. In addition, I wanted the recording to mirror a real concert program." Playing with pianist Kwan Yi, the selections feature Messiaen, Schubert, Chausson, Hindemith and Brahms.

American Record Guide, November/December 2014
Itamar Zorman was born in Tel Aviv in 1985. He studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music then transferred to Juilliard, where he earned his Master's degree in 2009. The next year he earned an Artist's Diploma from the Manhattan School of Music. In 2011 he won second prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition. From 2012 to 2014 he studied with Christian Tetzlaff. So he is quite accomplished and well schooled by age 29, and this is his debut recording. Zorman plays a violin made by Peter Guarnerius of Venice in 1745.
