Notes & Reviews:

The music heard at the flourishing Dresden court in the Baroque era was widely renowned, incorporating a number of different European styles of the day. Under the direction of violinist and concertmaster Renate Steinmann, the Zu¨rcher Barockorchester and soprano Miriam Feuersinger perform works from this exceptionally diverse repertoire. Their selection of vocal and instrumental compositions by Hasse, W. F. Bach, Heinichen, Vivaldi, and G. A. Ristori demonstrates the multifaceted range of music that was performed and valued within the confines of this eastern German, Saxon state court.

American Record Guide, July/August 2015
I also recommend Feuersinger's recordings of Graupner cantatas (Christophorus 77381, July/Aug 2014) and arias by Erlebach (Christophorus 77366; July/Aug 2013). Friedemann Bach's Harpsichord Concerto in D comes between the vocal pieces, and the program closes with Heinichen's Concerto a 7 in G. Texts and notes are in English.
