Notes & Reviews:

This album is a recording of two concerts, which took place on August 25, 2013 in the Witold Lutoslawski Polish Radio Concert Studio and on September 3, 2005 in the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, as part of the festival titled "Chopin and his Europe."

The Guardian
Brüggen and the orchestra with whom he has worked for more than 30 years have lost none of the vigor or rugged intensity that has always characterized their performances.

New York Times
Brüggen tapped a vein of both novelty and visceral excitement that gave these familiar works a welcome freshness.
