Album Notes

The Clifford Brown collection 13 Classic Albums 1954-1960 brings together a fruitful cross-section of releases by the late legendary trumpeter. Featured here are albums Brown recorded for the Emarcy label, a few of which were released posthumously. Here we get such classics as 1954's Brown and Roach Incorporated, 1955's Clifford Brown with Strings, 1956's At Basin Street, and many others. Most of these albums are considered essential listening for Brown aficionados and it's nice to have them all collected in one place. ~ Matt Collar
