Notes & Reviews:
Pawel Lukaszewski is recognized as one of the outstanding composers of contemporary sacred music; his works generate a growing interest far beyond his native Poland. While vocal-instrumental and a cappella choral compositions prominently occupy his output, instrumental pieces are also worthy of attention. The themes of many of Lukaszewski's works are connected to the most important periods in the liturgical year, of particular significance for him in experiencing the mysteries of faith. The works included on the present CD offer a telling illustration of Lukaszewski's music.
