Notes & Reviews:

The J. S. Bach Foundation is performing the complete vocal works of Johann Sebastian Bach over the course of around 25 years. Each month, one of Bach's over 200 cantatas is performed in the town of Trogen, in Switzerland's idyllic canton of Appenzell. Bach Kantaten N°8 contains three cantatas: "Christ unser Herr zum Jordan kam" (Christ did our Lord to Jordan come), Cantata BWV 7; "Gleich wie der Regen" (Just as the showers), Cantata BWV 18 and "Was willst du dich betrüben" (Why wouldst thou then be saddened), Cantata BWV 107.
