Album Remarks & Appraisals:
In February of 2012, Nobel Prize-winning physicist Frank Wilczek posted an article proposing the existence of "time crystals," perpetually moving structures that repeat periodically in the fourth dimension. In "Time Crystals," we explore perpetual motion, pattern, crystalline structures and quantum resonances in musical form. Using triangles, cymbals, drums, vibraphone, wooden planks, cardboard box, and prepared piano, we strive to create a kaleidoscopic effect, a balance of musical structure and sound exploration.
Personnel: Vanessa Tomlinson (toy piano, percussion); Erik Griswold (prepared piano).
Audio Mixer: Lachlan Carrick.
Recording information: Conservatorium Theatre, Griffith University (03/2014).
