Notes & Reviews:

St Salvator's Chapel Choir and the Fitzwilliam Quartet mark the launch of the University of St Andrews' new internationally distributed CD label, SANCTIANDREE, with a new CD of music composed and influenced by Henry Purcell, directed by University Organist Tom Wilkinson. The CD includes music by Pelham Humfrey, John Blow and the first ever recording of William Jackson of Exeter's anthem 'O Lord My God', which was found by Tom Wilkinson in the private music collection of Gerald Finzi, left to the University on the composer's death in 1956.

St Salvator's Chapel Choir is the flagship choir of the University of St Andrews, Scotland, UK. The choir's history extends to the founding of the University in the early fifteenth century. Today, the choir's thirty students perform a repertoire that spans the six centuries of the University's existence. In addition to singing three choral services per week, the choir enjoys a busy schedule of concerts, tours, broadcasts on radio and TV, and CD recordings. The choir has given many world premieres, and has worked with musicians such as Sir John Eliot Gardiner, James MacMillan, Paul Mealor, and Arvo Pärt.
