Mexican composer, pianist, organist, conductor and teacher Arnulfo Miramontes Romo de Vivar received his musical training in Aguascalientes, Guadalajara and Berlin. His talents were recognized with numerous awards, and on the Mexican music scene he was an important and distinguished presence. This recording gathers together a collection of Miramontes' solo piano works, divided into three groupings. The first consists of eight individual preludes, the second a selection of eight Mexican Miniatures, and the third, a group of six pieces of salon music.
