All About Jazz
One of the most pliant large ensembles on the planet.

Dutch orchestral jazz based on classical compositions, from the string section of the world's leading pop and jazz orchestra! This first album in the MO Blue series features pieces based on compositions by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and J.S. Bach. This adventurous merger of jazz and orchestral music, perhaps best described as "chamber jazz," features classical melodies mixed with virtuosic jazz solos and groovy rhythms. An adventurous merger of jazz and orchestral music! Based on compositions by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and J.S. Bach. Collaborative recordings include an eclectic mix of artists, from John Scofield & Vince Mendoza to dance/electronic duo Basement Jaxx.
