Notes & Reviews:

"This is the one we have been waiting for... Hamelin, one of the major world pianists, recorded this before a large audience in Essen at the Ruhr Piano Festival June 29, 2007. Don't worry about audience noise. It is non-existant except for applause. The visuals are pretty near just what you would want them to be. The sound is also excellent. Hamelin performs Haydn's Sonata 46 with the same probing sense of line of his recent two-disc survey on Hyperion CD. Chopin's Sonata 3 and Debussy's Preludes Book 2 make up the rest of the recital (plus a few encores). All are outstanding." -American Record Guide
