Album Remarks & Appraisals:
A live album event & posthumous tribute to the late bassist Charlie Haden, who passed away in 2014. It is a legacy recording of Haden in concert with the equally iconic pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba at the Blue Note in Tokyo in March of 2005. The two great musicians had been playing together for 20 years at the time of the recording, which features the Rubalcaba/Haden collaboration, "Nocturne." Also included are liner notes written by Mr. Rubalcaba, Cameron- Haden, Charlie's widow, and Ned Sublette.
