Notes & Reviews:

Sergei Rachmaninov’s 24 preludes express the quintessence of this Russian Romantic: in short order, he expresses deep melancholy, ecstatic joy, serenity and exuberance: the outpourings of a rich and deep Russian soul. This new recording of these magnificent works, standard piano literature, is by the young Ukrainian-Canadian pianist Dmitri Levkovich, winner of several International Piano Competitions, notably the prestigious German Piano Award in 2013. Dmitri is the son of renowned composer Alexander Levkovich and also holder of a Curtis Institute Composition degree.
