All 22 Mozart operas were filmed live at the 2006 Salzburg Festival and are now released on 33 DVDs (51 hours of music!). Each Mozart 22 opera is released in High Definition and 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound and contains bonus material such as behind-the-scenes features, artist interviews and rehearsal excerpts.

When commissioning new productions, Salzburg did not attempt to sculpt a single, unilateral Mozart image but instead aimed deliberately for variety: each performance constitutes a statement in its own right about the composer's significance. Following the individual musical and theatrical readings and their realization as individual interpretations becomes an adventure. This set was previously available at top price, and is now being re-issued at an unbelievable budget price!
