Notes & Reviews:

The opening concert of the Salzburg Festival is regarded by many as the world's most renowned music festival, and is therefore, by tradition a high-profile event. Listen to what Frankfurter Zeitung calls, "An impressive depiction of the work [Te Deum]". With world-class performances by E. Garanca, D. Roeschmann, F. J. Selig, and R. Pape, this DVD is a must-have.

Ritmo
The choir had a powerful and brilliant performance, and the orchestra, sometimes a point sound intentionally rough, impasted like never before with choir and organ. The vocal quartet, formidable but for a tenor voice something very white and soft expression.
