Notes & Reviews:
The blind Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, an astonishing up-and-coming genius on his instrument, here interprets works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, and Stostakovich. These works glimmer beautifully, offset by Tsujii's own Elegy for the Victims of the Tsunami of March 2011, a stirring ode to lives lost in his home country of Japan.
