Notes & Reviews:
In this CD, noted new music specialist Sarah Plum brings together two new violin concertos - one commissioned by her and one that she premiered in world premiere recordings. Sarah Plum performed the violin concerto, entitled Yael, by Sidney Corbett in its North American premiere at the Chamber Music Midwest Festival in June of 2011. The live recording of that performance is here paired with the violin concerto of Christopher Adler, which Plum commissioned. These two beautiful, original and quite striking works are destined to join the repertoire and be heard for many years to come.
