Lera Auerbach, the Russian-American poet, composer, writer, visual artist, concert pianist and graduate of the Julliard School and the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (Germany) performs regularly in major halls throughout the world. To date she has published more than 100 works for orchestra, opera and ballet, as well as choral and chamber music, which the world's leading musicians have performed. Pianist, scholar and educator Eli Kalman (Univ. of Wisc., Oshkosh, Dept. of Music) tackles three of Ms. Auerbach's solo piano works, c. 1998-2000, including her 24 Preludes, op. 41.
