Notes & Reviews:

Chamber music with trombone. Norwegian artist Sverre Riise shows that the trombone is an excellent solo instrument, with a bit of comedy involved, on the album ''Snarks in the Kitchen''. This is a collection of works specially written for the trombone by Arne Nordheim, Jon Øivind Ness and Ørjan Matre - which is pretty rare. Prepare yourself to hear radical playing techniques, humorous undertones and the fictional animal 'snark' - made famous by writer Lewis Carroll. Sverre Riise is the solo trombonist of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.
