Notes & Reviews:

Along with the world's most renowned vocal ensemble - the Singphoniker - the Taipei Male Choir (TMC) led by Nieh Yen-Hsiang presents contemporary pieces for soloists and male choir and organ or percussion. Of the three similar repertoire CD releases to TMC's credit, the first and third discs won the Taiwan Golden Melody Award Interpretation Prize in 2011. Metaphorically, the three works deal with the coexistence of darkness and light in the world and the perennial quest for purposefulness in human existence - until reaching its heavenly goal, which is filled with love and brightness.

American Record Guide, March/April 2016
This program performed in tandem with an excellent men's choir from Taiwan is anything. True, there are some lush, embracing sonorities in the Mass composed by Filipino composer Alejandro Consolacion (b 1980).
