A short showcase for Janelle Monáe's Epic-affiliated Wondaland massive, The Eephus was released when Jidenna's chic anthem "Classic Man" -- one of summer 2015's most memorable pop hits -- had been on the Billboard Hot 100 for over three months. That song is included, as is the remix featuring Kendrick Lamar. Monáe and Jidenna's slightly older "Yoga," which didn't fare nearly as well as a single, is among the four other cuts. Dreamy ballad "Going Nowhere" marks the impressive arrival of duo St. Beauty, while longtime fellow ATL scene dweller Roman GianArthur adds another highlight with some dashing, booming synth pop balladry. ~ Andy Kellman
