Notes & Reviews:

The new album from Russian soprano, Olga Peretyatko, singing Rossini's best-known arias. With the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Alberto Zedda. Peretyatko made her successful Metropolitan Opera debut last season in Bellini: I Puritani. Kennedy Center performances on October 1 - 3. Performing as Gilda in Verdi: Rigoletto at The Metropolitan Opera in Oct/Nov 2015.

Olga Peretyatko combines a beautiful and versatile soprano voice with a charming personality and an overwhelming stage presence. Whenever she's on the stage, she conquers the audience. On her new album, Rossini, the acclaimed soprano sings some of Rossini's best-known arias. Rossini has played and continues to play a significant role in Peretyatko's career. It was at the Rossini in Wildbad Festival in 2006 in Italy where she was cast in two pivotal roles in Il Viaggio a Reims - performing the role of Corinna on one night, and Contessa di Folleville on the next - and after the performances, was offered a contract to appear the following year. These are the first two arias on the Rossini album, and they are directly connected to this story and its emotional resonance: it was the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna conducted by Alberto Zedda that accompanied Peretyatko when she made her stunning debut in Italy, and they join her again on this new album.

Olga Peretyatko was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, and started her musical career at the age of 15. She has won several awards in international competitions including the Operalia, the world opera competition organized by Plácido Domingo, where she won second prize. Peretyatko has performed at many legendary venues and festivals throughout Europe including the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, La Fenice in Venice and the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. Peretyatko garnered international attention as Stravinsky's Rossignol in the acclaimed Robert Le Page production that premiered in Aix-en-Provence in 2010 followed by performances in Toronto, New York, Lyon and Amsterdam. She made a triumphant debut at The Metropolitan Opera performing the role of Elvira in Bellini's I Puritani in 2014.

The New York Times
Olga Peretyatko sings dazzlingly.

New York Classical Review
She possesses a spectacularly nimble voice, and displayed pinpoint coloratura. Her sound is light from low to high, her top is free and secure, and her intonation is about as close to perfect as it comes.
