Album Remarks & Appraisals:

Orchestre Toubab, founded in 2010, is an acoustic Afro-tropical jazz quartet. The name of the band is a reference to the mythical "Orchestre Baobab," a legendary West African band, as well as the common name for Europeans in Western African, referred to as "Toubabs." This clearly depicts the musical identity of the group, which counts the music of western Africa among their inspirations.

Recorded live at Daniel Léon's Igloo studio in March 2013 and October 2014. Includes 32-year labor of love "Freegyan Love Song," started in 1978 and but not completed until 2010!
