Notes & Reviews:

Paul Wittgenstein was an Austrian concert pianist who, following the amputation of his right arm during the First World War, commissioned seventeen works for the left hand alone. This first volume of Praga's series Masterpieces for Left Hand is dedicated to his legacy. Over the years these works have become essential literature, not only for the disabled, but for anyone looking to challenge the mind and the fingers. Featured pianists on this recording include Samson François, Andrei Gavrilov, Julius Katchen, Rudolf Serkin and Gábor Gabos.
