Notes & Reviews:

Daredevil jumps - breathtaking tempos: Trumpet Acrobatics! Fascinating, with the greatest of ease and elegance trumpeter Matthias Hoefs challenges the musical and instrumental works gathered on this CD. Accompanied by the Hamburg Soloists Philhamonic presenting Hoef's very demanding and entertaining music, such as extracts from Bizet's Carmen, the Konzertstuck No. 1 f-minor by Willy Brandt, the variations on the Carnival of Venice, from Jean- Baptiste Arban or Grigoras Dinicu's Hora staccato.

The newly written arrangements for this recording come from Stephan Pfeiffer, Boris Brinkmann, Peter Lawrence, and Matthias Hoefs himselff.
