Notes & Reviews:
Sony Classical Master Series' 10 CD collection is a glorious retrospective of the British pianist, Kathryn Stott's solo recordings and spotlights the considerable place she has among today's great piano players. With a repertoire that includes many of the great French early 20th century composers, most notably the transcendent works of Gabriel Fauré, Stott has also staked her foundation with the less heard piano compositions of British composers including William Walton and Frank Bridge. With a delicate, precise and strong style, Stott's exquisite interpretations available in these remastered recordings also restores to active catalogue many of her earlier recordings.
