Notes & Reviews:

The debut of Austrian cellist Thomas Auner accompanied by pianist Irina Auner take us through the world takes us on a musical journey through the world of dance, both explicit and implied. From Piazzolla to Dvorak and Johannes Brahms, Ravel to Cassad, Granados' to de Falla. Tchaikovsky, Bach through von Weber; this celebration of dance and music through time distinguished by the virtuosity of both Auners makes this an auspicious debut.

American Record Guide, May/June 2016
The program - all dances - is not boring but played with sensitivity and attention to detail. The Auners are fine players and make this curious program work for the emotions as well as the feet. If you want to hear a basically light program containing some fine music redone for cello and piano this is a good place to start, and it's well recorded.
