Notes & Reviews:

Originally emigrating to the U.S in 1930, and touring to great success worldwide, the Don Cossak Choir was founded and conducted by Serge Jaroff for 50 years and his death in 1985 set off a lengthy almost ridiculous period of claims and counterclaims as various iterations eponymously named the Don Cossak Choir clamored to be considered the "true" legitimate ensemble. On Suliko this iteration of the Don Cossak choir led by Wanja Hlibka is generally considered to be the 'true' heirs and continue the tradition of Cossak choral song tradition.
