Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, May/June 2016
Pizarro and Zhok chose two significant, but rarely heard works. They are both demanding in terms of piano technique and the choreography required of four hands on one keyboard. Piano duets were extremely popular at this time, and many were straightforward transcriptions of orchestral works. Dvorak's writing places the works here in a direct line with the greatest in this repertoire, Schubert and Brahms being the immediate predecessors. The pianists do them full justice and the program is a joy to listen to. Add in a beautifully designed package, informative booklet essay and excellent recorded sound.
